Named after Spier’s Cellar Master, Frans K Smit is the culmination of 13 years of patient, devoted observance of prime vineyard performance and quality.

The nose shows a vibrant profusion of blackcurrant, cherry and banana that present on the palate with floral notes reminiscent of jasmine shrubs. The finish is a complexity of rich floral flavours and soft yet lingering tannins that speak of longevity.

This Bordeaux-style blend is composed of

• 21% Shiraz (40% Darling, 40% Paarl)
• 12.5% Merlot (Stellenbosch)
• 12.5% Cabernet franc (Helderberg)
• 12.5% Malbec (Paarl)
• 12.5% Pinotage (Helderberg)
